Tip of the Month

Speaking is NEVER about "just."

As in, "I'm just giving a team report." Or "I'm just introducing someone."

Qualifying the opportunity to speak with "just" shirks the responsibility you have. It discredits and devalues you, your words and the people to whom you are speaking. Every time you speak is an opportunity to influence, engage and inspire.

A "just" opportunity is a wasted opportunity. Don't let ego, nerves or disinterest keep you from excelling; you'll just end up as a cautionary tale about missed opportunity.
